Engaging visuals informed by years of architectural experience
DesignPad was founded by Aston Oakes, an architecturally trained illustrator with experience working for and with several architecture firms, from international to boutique design studios.
He graduated with a 1st class Bachelor’s in Architecture in 2019, before working as an Architectural Designer in London and the South East of England. Throughout this he developed his passion and skill in visual representation, his achievement recognised with a nomination for the RIBA Bronze Medal, and being shortlisted for the Archisource Drawing of the Year Award 2022.
After two years of carrying out illustration projects in his free time, he founded DesignPad in June 2022.

I enjoy exploring ways to graphically portray the intentions of a design, whether it’s revealing the relationship between interior spaces of a house or how a masterplan proposal blends with its context. With every client, having effective communication to understand their mission and the vision for each proposal is a priority.”
